Building has been my passion for over 25 years. I’ve been successfully running my company for the last 20+ years. As a hardworking, qualified tradesman, I thrive on knowing I’ve done an excellent job and on building my reputation through referrals.
I consistently achieve this by working with honesty and integrity and ensuring I work with my clients to help them achieve their vision, on time and on budget.
Dina Heylen, Director & Operations Manager
Dina has been working alongside husband Phil for over 15 years and takes care of all the financial matters and liaises regularly with our clients. “Like Phil, I feel running a successful business means having satisfied customers and earning repeat business and referrals. We consistently manage to do this by bringing our honesty and integrity into everything we do. I have been married to Phil for 20 years and am Mum to our three girls.”

Colin's been with Superior Construction for 20 years and is the hardest working builder you'll find. He's been building for around 23 years and is very knowledgeable and competent.
Colin is a true family man (he has three gorgeous kids and a lovely wife) and comes from a farming background - hence bred from good hard working stock!

Builder
Long has been building for 16+ years. Before he was a builder, he was a cabinetmaker for five years in Vietnam. He came to NZ as a refugee with his wife so this smiley man is incredibly resilient and he is extremely reliable and hardworking.
Long and his wife now have two sons and one cute little granddaughter. And there is another grandchild on the way; perfect as Long cherishes being a granddad. He loves working with us and we love having him on our team. His attention to detail is excellent so any extra tricky finishing work usually gets handed to Long.
